Pink is the new nude has been the theme of Urban Decay’s latest addition to the Naked lineup a la Naked 3. I love pink but I know that most pink eyeshadows out there are cool and don’t suit me. Naked 3 has tried to give us some warm pinks but Buzz is truly the only warm pink color. I had tried to create a complete pink look here and it looked a bit flat so I smoked it out ever so slightly. WOOHOO, I’m back to doing what I love best, trying out eye looks and than writing their tutorials on the blog. The star of this tutorial is Urban Decay’s Vice 2. I have mentioned in my review here that this is a super versatile palette, what with it being such a colorful palette. I’m emulating this look from one of my favorite YouTube artists macshadowcombos. She creates the best eye looks and you all should definitely check out her channel. Continue reading
Yesss I saw it! And that too one of the first few. Thanks to Movie Blogbuster for giving the premiere tickets to a movie that I had been waiting a whole year for. Before Urban Decay happened to me, I hated blue colored eyeshadows with a fierce conviction that it was just not made for my skin tone. And then, I saw Evidence in the Urban Decay Smoked palette and I can’t believe that I had been missing out on such a regal shade. It really does look like the blue of Royals, and it was a real delight using it ( there I go Johnny English again! LOL ). Continue reading
This post is solely a tutorial featuring the Urban Decay Smoked palette (review here) and using TWO of my favorite shades from it, a beautiful shimmery taupe, Mushroom and a shimmery brown Barlust. I have mentioned before in my review how versatile this palette is due to the selection of color shades. And to prove that, I will be doing a series of tutorials demonstrating various smokey looks that have been created from this palette alone. Continue reading
Summer is almost over, Thank God! It’s a bad season for makeup, especially if you live in the Middle East. With the coming of autumn and then winter, it’s time to experiment with some deep dark smoldering makeup. My infatuation with Urban Decay continues. They just can’t seem to do anything wrong, especially where eye makeup concerns. After their Naked palettes, the next spot should rightly go to the Urban Decay Smoked palette.
